History
Today's Department is the successor of the Faculties “Trade”, "Trade and Transport” and “Infrastructure and Services”. On 31.5.1995, by decision of the Academic Council, it was renamed into Faculty of “Economics of Infrastructure" - as an independent unit within UNWE. It trains students in Bachelor's, Master's and PhD in six Specialties.
The main activity of the Faculty is the training in Bachelor's, Master's and PhD programs and the preparation of specialists in organization and management of the activities related to infrastructure development, management of infrastructure projects and public administration.
The Faculty prepares specialists and managers for the most fast-developing sector of the Bulgarian economy – the infrastructure, where the majority of the budget investments and the investments from EU funds are focused
