The Gaidar Forum 2016: Russia and the World: Looking into the Future
On January 13-15, 2016, the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) jointly with the Institute of Economy in Transition are organizing a major international economic conference – the Gaidar Forum.
The Forum was established in 2010 in tribute to the memory of Yegor Gaidar, the leading Russian economist and the architect of the Russian reforms of the early 1990s. Over this time, the Forum has become one of the country’s central political and economic event which gathers together leaders of economic thought and top professors of leading global universities (such as Harvard, Stanford and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology), representatives of Russian political establishment, and senior officials and experts from other countries. In 2016, the main topic of the forum will be Russia and the World: Looking into the Future. The program of the forum and registration details will be published shortly on the forum’s website (http://www.gaidarforum.ru/en/). The working languages of the forum are Russian and English. In the framework of the Forum, the Center for Public Administration Technologies is planning to organize a series of sections on the issues of public administration and governance reforms. The main theme of this series will be improving public administration performance. We would be happy to share the Russian experience and ideas on public administration reforms and welcome presentations from other countries in Central and Eastern Europe and beyond.
In case you are interested in presenting a paper on public administration related issue, please send the title and planned subject of presentation as well as the contact details to Ms. Alexandra Samotsvetova ([email protected]). Once the registration on the Forum’s website is open, you would be required to register online.
