Faculty of International Economics and Politics

History

The Faculty of International Economics and Politics is the successor of the Faculty of International Economic Relationships. On May, 31st, 1995 by a Decision of the Academic Council it was renamed into a Faculty of International Economics and Politics as an independent unit of UNWE. Today there are trained 1299 Bachelor students, 456 Master students and 40 Doctoral students in the following specialties:

  • International Economic Relationships;
  • International Relationships;
  • Political Science.

The academic body of the Faculty consists of 52 lecturers, including 5 professors, 18 associate professors and 29 assistants. 2 of them are DSc in Economy,1 is a DSc in History and 28 are Doctors.

The basic mission of the Faculty of International Economics and Politics is in line with the UNWE mission and it is in consideration with the UNWE policy of front running preparation of highly qualified specialists for the new scientific areas and directions and social practice.

The mission of the Faculty of International Economics and Politics is the training in Bachelor`s, Master`s and Doctoral degree programmes involving the preparation of highly qualified specialists with international profile of economic, managing, political and law education for the demands of the national economy, international economic relationships and foreign policy. That mission corresponds to the modern qualitative requirements for the specialists with higher education and responds to the global and European standards in this field.

Faculty of International Economics and Politics includes the following Departments:

  • Department of International Economic Relationships and Business;
  • Department of International Relationships;
  • Department of Political Science;
  • Department of Foreign Languages and Applied Linguistics.
